IIS Error

Hello,

When i now want to open a Web Service in my VS.NET the following error
occurs:

The Web server reported the following error when attempting to create or
open the Web project located at the following URL:
'http://localhost/ReservationClient'. 'HTTP/1.1 500 Server Error'.

in the event log of windows eventviewer the following warning occurs:

the server could not load the applicaiton '/LM/W3SVC'. 'Quoted Medadata
could not be found.'

Does anybody here have an idea??(

Hello Pat,

You say "when I *now* want to open..." which tells me that this used to
work.
What changed on your server from when this used to work and now?
Did you install Sharepoint or change the IIS configuration in some specific
way?

Also, you mention opening a web service in VS.NET. VS doesn't really open
a web service. Are you referring to making a Web Reference? or are you
referring to some portion of the debugging process?

Please tell me the steps I'd need to follow to recreate your error.
