it's likely that your o.s.
is already updated and ready
to change.

you can follow the dst link
at microsoft.com to see
if you are up to date..

If I decide not to do the update... in two weeks wont it catch up to
the write time?

Not on computers running Windows 98 or Windows ME. Microsoft is no longer
supporting those operating systems... I tried to go to Microsoft Update for
my Windows 98 computer, and got to a page that said, "Thank you, but this
page is only for Microsoft Windows Systems. You need to go to the support
site for MacIntosh."!!!!!

yeh, your right. i guess it shouldn't
be difficult to change the clock manually..

Right click time in lower left hand corner. Change the time. The change also affects the time in the bios setup directly. Do a hard restart and see for yourself. Or in reverse, change the time in the bios, time is handed over to windows. At least in standalone PCs, this is true.

A spell checker won't flag "write" or "rite" as the wrong spelling for
"right." A grammar checker might. And I would call the play on words a
"spiel chucker." <vbg>
