I've looked and many people have the same problem I have
with DirectX9.0b
I tried to download and install and every time i got the
messaage "The software you are installing has
not passed the Windows Logo testing to verify its
compatibility with Windows XP. The software will not be
installed. Contact your system administrator". I tried to
do the following:1.
Click Start / Control Panel / Administrative Tools /
Services
Scroll down to "Cryptographic Services", double click
it and
change Startup type to: Automatic and click
the "Start" button. *DIDNT WORK*
2. If the problem persists, go to c:\windows\system32 and
rename
the catroot2 directory to catrootold. Catroot2 might
be too full. *DIDNT WORK
**********************************************************
3. Repairing Windows is our final option. Boot from your
Windows
CD (you may have to press F12 while starting up, or
change the
bootup order in your BIOS) and then follow the
instructions at:
http://michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm
Good luck!

I think that to do that would mess my computer up
forever. There were too many warnigs on that site and it
was too much for someone like me to handle.
So could you please provide me with any information about
anything that would aid me in installing DirectX9.0b??
Myself and many other people would truly, truly
appreciate at it.
**I apologize for any spelling or gramatical errors if
any**
P.S: I also had a problem installing Windows Xp Service
Pack 1a. Could you help me with that too?
