If I put Wxp in a folder named boot1 on partition C and also in a folder
named boot2 on partition c, assuming the arc path in boot.ini is correct,
could I boot either Wxp?

Windows XP should only be installed in separate
partitions and not within different folders in the same partition.

Hi,

Yes, but this procedure is not recommended except for troubleshooting
scenarios as having both on the same volume can potentially cause conflicts.
Usually this is done only when the inital installation is corrupted beyond
use.

I was thinking of having the second Wxp for an emergency in case the first
copy did not boot.

You'd be better off installing to a second drive (preferable) or other
volume on the same drive.

Asking for trouble. With all due respect, if you have to ask this
question, then you shouldn't do it.

What is the difference between ASCII and ANSI?
