C D H I J
Month Start Date End Date June July
5,821.83 1/1/08 5,821.83

I have a formula that looks at a start date and places the monthly salary
based on the start date in the appropriate month, and carries it forward for
the rest of the year. How do I incorporate an additional statement that also
looks at the "End Date" field, and will enter a zero in the last pay month,
and subsequent months for the rest of the year? My formula is:

=IF(\$C5="",0,IF(\$G5>=--"6/30/2008",0,IF(\$G5<--"6/1/2008",\$C5,IF(AND(\$G5<--"6/30/2008",\$G5>--"6/14/2008"),\$C5/2,))))

Let's change it to
name ann salary start date end date jan feb mar
joe \$10,000.00 14-Jun 2-Oct 0 0 0

put this formula (ONE line) in e2 and copy across and down

=IF(AND(COLUMN(A1)>=MONTH(\$C2),COLUMN(A1)<=MONTH(\$D2)),DOLLAR(\$B2/12),0)

Does not attempt to use partial months pay.

That did it and I thank you. I do however have to take in to account a half
month salary. I needn't worry about less than that. How can I build that in?

Your company is cheap. What criteria do you have for the 1/2 month. Start
month/end month/both.

Start or end the 15th of the month should give me 1/2 month increments in the
month the event occurs.

I repeat the question, which event?? start/end/both
