When trying to open certain web pages using IE 6.0, I get
an error message stating "program perfomed illegal
operation shutting down". When I click on details it
states "IEXPLORE caused a general protection fault in
module USER.EXE

Any idea how to fix this?

Cannot launch IE, however, I can launch Outlook Express, which leads me to
think that the problem is only with IE6.
Solved the problem. It was apparently caused by the free popup stopper
supplied by my ISP. Just deleted the popup stopper and everything is up and
running.
