On some web sites I get the following message and Explorer closes:

iexplore.exe application error
The instruction at 0x7777fc81 referenced memory at 0x01fb9ac0. The memory
could not be read. Click okay to terminate.

How can I fix this? Thanks.

Frank - I'm not sure if this is the versioninfo but here's what I copied
from the Java properties: "C:\Program
Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_05\javaws\javaws.exe"

You really should update that to 1.4.2_06 to patch a security hole, but I
doubt if that will fix this problem. I don't know what's wrong.

Thanks Frank - Installing the latest Java patch has worked and I'm back on
the information highway.

I get something similar but it seems to happen every time I
close internet explorer, not just with a specific page. Any
ideas?

Hi,

Unless you provide us some more information (like addresses where this
occurs) we can only guess. It might be a fauly plug-in (like Flash player
http://www.macromedia.com or Java VM http://java.sun.com)

Kind regards
