Please let me know if there is another forum where I should post. Just
starting today, there is nothing I can do to get IE7 to launch maximized. I
have tried dragging the edges to the maximized size and exiting. This has
always worked before, but now fails to fix the problem. Is there anything I
can do?

Thank you

Carey,

Thank you, but neither the shift or control key held down on exit fixed the
problem. Any other suggestions?

Thanks again.

I've discovered that if I type in an internet address in the address area or
start IE from the start menu, it will start maximized. It is only if I use
one of my desktop icons. Hope that helps.

I tried a few other things and the problem is not just with the desktop
icons. Links clicked from a maximized IE window will launch a reduced sized
window. Thanks again for your help.

Sorry to bother you with all this, but I hope additional information will
help. Within a reduced sized IE window, if I ask IE to open a new window,
the new window is opened maximized. If I leave the maximized window open
and click on a desktop icon, the web site is displayed within the maximized
window. I have an Nvidia card that is running under a good driver. NView
runs in the background. Do you know if NView could cause this kind of a
problem? I grasping right now. Thanks again.

Ask the Author for help or dont complain about a BETA app.

its really fairly easy.
open first window.
type cntrl + N to open a NEW second window.
use the mouse and drag the edges of the NEW second window to your desired size.
close the FIRST original window.
then hold down the CNTRL key and close the SECOND remaining window.

Thank you all for your help. As an update, everything I tried did not fix
the problem. IE7 continued to launch in a normal window no matter what I
did. I uninstalled and reinstalled IE7 and now everything is working as it
should. Thanks again.
