Just loaded Vista. There are 2 users both administators on the PC.IE7 will run
ok with one user but not with the other. If forced to "run as administrator"
IE7 will run with both users. Disabling addons makes no difference.Help

Hi,
Disable any third-party program which might be interacting with IE7, even if
it's not listed as an add-on.

You might try this test *very* briefly- you'll be running with security
programs shut down...
Startup in Safe Mode with Networking. If the problem goes away, a program
that didn't load in Safe Mode is causing it.

Hope this helps,

Thanks Don,but neither made any difference.Turning off user account control
fixes it,but creates another prob.Curiously IE7 when it does run appears as
"unknown" author, not MS.I'm right out of ideas!

Hi,
Browse to Program Files\iexplore.exe. Right-click> Properties> Security. For
System, Administrators and Users, permissions should be:
Read & execute ... Allow
Read ... Allow
