IE6 Version Release: What does 'xpsp2' mean?

Using XP Pro SP1a with all Windows Updates installed using
IE reports itself as...

Version 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633.
Update Versions: SP1, Q867801; Q823353

I need to know and understand what the presence of 'xpsp2'
indicates as I never knowingly installed any version of XP SP2
which the IE version infers.
 
That has nothing to do with WinXP SP2 and you do not have it installed. You
are running a fully updated version of IE6-SP1 in a relatively new version
of WinXP SP1a. If you had SP2 installed, your IE version would be
6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_...

Thanks for that confirmation. The IE versioning identifiers are
confusing in this regard.
