This is my second time to post to this forum. I can't find it in this
forum. I have to do a Google search on Newsgroups. Can someone please
provide me with a clue?

I have a cable connection w/ approximately 1615 K bits/sec download speed
and 202 K bits/sec upload speed.

I'm running Windows XP Pro SP-1, on a 2GHz Intel Pentium 4, with 256 MB of
Ram. I've got IE version 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633.

I do a lot of surfing on the internet. On the average, I may visit 20 sites
in as many minutes. When I reach about 16, my IE6 slows down. When I try
to go to about the 20th site, my IE6 goes into a holding pattern, which I
call "The Twilight Zone." In the status bar, there are about 5 or 6
vertical bars showing and that's all. Nada, zip, that's all, the status bar
won't go farther.

If I exit IE6, wait a few seconds, and go back into the browser I usually
can continue surfing until about the 20th site. Sometimes it's more than 20
sites and sometimes less.

What's wrong? What can I do to stop going into the IE6 Twilight Zone?

Please HELP!

Hi,

Are you running low on disk space? Try lowering the maximum size of the
cache. Tools, Internet Options, Temporary Internet Files, Settings.

Kind regards

No, Hans. I have plenty of disk space.

See:
Temp Internet Files Amount to use = 1048.0 MB
Used .......................................... = 62.6 MB

Disk Capacity = 31.5 GB
Used ............ = 6.4 GB

Any other ideas?
