Ever since I 'upgraded' to IE6 from IE5.5 there is a
several-second delay at the end of every page load. The
progress bar at the bottom fills its area then the browser
is unresponsive for 2-3 seconds. This happens on every
page I visit but did not happen with IE5.5. All of my
patches are up to date including my virus software. I'm
running WinME. Has anyone else experienced this problem
and solved it?

Thanks,

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced and uncheck the option to Enable
third party browsing extensions.

Go to C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files and remove 'Tracker Class' if
present.

Thanks for the reply but it didn't help. There was
no 'Tracker Class' in downloaded programs but I unchecked
the Third Party option and restarted the computer. BTW, I
also use Ad-aware to scrub tracking cookies from the
system.
