IE6 Error #91

Whenever I open Internet Explorer, it gives me error #91,
which states "block variable or with block variable not
set" then it freezes and the browser closes. None of my
other applications that need the internet (AOL, AIM) work
at all. Could there be a virus? If there is, I cannot
update my computer's anti-virus scanner to the most
recent one because it needs internet access to work. This
is the last possibility. I have checked all others.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.

p.s Reset the 3rd party browser setting.

More: This may be caused by a third-party program (adware, spyware,

Get AdAware and SpyBot and run them both. Keep them up to date.
