I'm using WinXP Pro on a laptop. Each time I go to my bank's internet
banking website, the IE6 browser crashes. I thought I might be able to fix
this issue by performing the upgrade to XP from SP1 to SP2. The browser
still crashes. Is there a way to selectively diagnose and fix the problem I
seem to be having?

Another side effect of installing SP2 is that webpages load a bit slower. I
guess this is due to the enhanced security features in SP2. Anyone with any
insight into this also?

Thanks.

Does the web page in question use an activex control? How about java? You
might try emptying your internet cache and selecting the "delete all offline
content" option.

Never update an OS to fix a problem, unless you know the upgrade is
designed to fix that problem. And SP2 needs a clean, good running
system to work well.
