IE6 closes when clicking on a media link

Shay themcgraws

While I am online (using a cable connection), whenever I
click a media link containing video or audio, IE6 will
attempt to open a media window and then instantly close
the browser with no error messages or anything. However,
this does not happen using different user accounts on the
same system... only mine :(. Is there something, perhaps
in my settings or another known problem, causing this?
PLEASE OFFER WHATEVER HELP POSSIBLE... I am not able to
find an answer in the knowledge base or elsewhere.

The first thing to do is to scan your system for the possibility of
unknown\unwanted spyware or parasites that may be causing your problem(s).

Sounds like maybe your account (profile) is corrupted?
