IE6 Changes RGB color values when printing

Is there a way to prevent IE from changing the RGB values
of graphics when printing from the browser? Or a way to
determine what colorspace is used by IE?

For example, you can create a small, JPG square of color;
my test sample is RGB 189,0,6, no anti-aliasing, no
dithering, no color profiles used, etc. Opening this file
in Corel Draw, Corel Photo Paint, MS Paint, and the Opera
web browser, and then printing, will send the appropriate
RGB value of 189,0,6 to the printer driver. (The data
stream has been intercepted and monitored to determine if
the problem is in another area.) BUT -- coming out of IE,
the RGB value has been changed drastically, and
subsequently, the printout is different.

The reason I need to be able to do this is quite a long
story; suffice it to say it is very necessary.

If anyone has an answer, please email me directly to
(e-mail address removed).
Thanks.
