when i shut down then reboot my laptop running windows me
with internet explorer 6.0 (128-bit) for some reason my
home page keeps getting changed to the following address:
68%2e%63%6f%6d/%7a/%61/%78%31%2e%63%67%69?%31%30%30
about:blank).

so i proceed to tools....internet options....home page,
and delete the above address and apply the following
address, (http://start.earthlink.net/), which is my home
page. after clicking ok and closing internet explorer and
working on other applications whenever i relaunch ie it
brings me to the proper home page,
(http://start.earthlink.net/), but if i shut down the
computer and then launch ie, the wrong home page address
is loaded.

this problem just started happening 2 weeks ago. it's as
if there's a virus changing my home page in ie every time
i reboot.

i have norton anti-virus and run daily updates but have
not detected any infection.

i run scan disk and disk defragmenter each day. in the
internet properties dialogue box, each day i delete the
temporary internet files & cookies, and clear my history
folder.

how can i stop internet explorer from changing my home
page to the address i mentioned above in the first
paragraph?

thank you for your help.
