My Internet Explorer was working fine yesterday but today
I get a message that says it has encountered a problem
and needs to close when I try to start it. The error
message is: AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer:
6.0.2600.0 ModName: winshow.dll
ModVer: 1.0.0.14 Offset: 0000c9de

Any suggestions?

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, that worked great. I
also downloaded hijackthis but wasn't sure what boxes
to "check" for the scan but saved the log. But IE is
working fine. Do I need to follow up with hijackthis?
Your site is great!!

Thanks for the feedback.
I would run HijackThis. If you had one browser hijacker there's a good
chance you'll have more.
Go to: http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
Download "Hijack This!" [freeware]

Unzip, double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"
button.
Click: "Save Log" (generates: "hijackthis.log")

Next, go to the below location:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/forums/

Sign in, go to the "Spyware and Hijackware Removal" section.
Press "New Topic", copy and paste hijackthis.log into your new message.
