IE won't remember any of my passwords

OS: Windows 2000
IE 6.0 dosen't remember any of my pwd's, i'll check the
box that says remember pwd. but every time i go back i
have to fill it in, its a secured site i have tried
deleting the cookies, checked everything off in
autocomplete but still no luck.
any suggestions
