IE won't load any pages

Hello,

I'm trying to troubleshoot a computer whose IE won't load
any pages ("Page cannot be displayed") , but other
programs that require Internet access, like Outlook, AIM,
etc. seem to be working fine.

I ran Ad-aware, and while we did remove some malicious
objects, this did not resolve the problem. I also tried
re-installing IE, to no avail.

I also checked the hosts file, and everything seems to be
in order.

We installed Mozilla by downloading the installation file
and sending it to the computer, and funny thing is, it
seems to be working.

Any ideas?

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
