IE won't browse

I'm running XP Pro and IE6. I can ping any site or URL on
the internet, but the IE browser returns PAGE CANNOT BE
DISPLAYED, and the status bar reports: connecting to
res://c:\winnt\system32\shdoclc.dll\dnserror.htm

Any ideas.

Your Winsock can be damaged.
Try the tools at the veru bottom of this page:
http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm
If you cannot use IE to browse to this page, then paste
the link in your windwos explorer...
