IE slow to open

IE takes about 25 seconds to open. Once it's open, it's as fast as lightning
surfing. I have cleared temps...reduced down to 3 megs storage in temps for
IE. Turned off Restore. Defraged..scanned with Norton AV. Ran 3 apyware
adaware, spycatcher...They all turned out ok.

Any ideas ?

Try disabling unnecessary startup items.. you could try with just your
AV and firewall, and see if it helps.
 
do you have alot of services running in the back ground you can see
these in your bottome right corner. alot of people run alot of crap so
I recommend turning of most things except for your norton really.
to do this go to start then run then type msconfig in.
you willl then receive a screen and go over to startup tab on the top.
You will get a list of items to check and uncheck. these items are all
the programs that start up when your computer starts up this can slow
it down exspeciall older computers.
