IE Search Problem

Until recently, if I were to do a search, for (lets say) "windows xp", I
could simply type that in the url address bar, and I would get search
results. Now if I type that same thing in, I get this:

http:///? windows xp

And no search results show up.

Could anyone tell me why this is happening?

Try going to tools -- Internet Options -- Programs tab -- hit 'reset web
settings'.
