IE search button gets 404 error

When I try to search from IE 6 sp1 usig the search button
I get a "This Page cannot be Found" instead of the search
pane.
 
There's a good possibility that this is being caused by a third-party
program (adware, spyware, parasite).

If you get the message from all search engines then:
Qhosts virus/trojan, ALERT!.

Be sure that you install hotfix 828750 which fixes the exploit that this
virus uses:
