IE problem, please help

When my wife and kids log on to Windoze (XP Pro) and try to use IE or
Firefox the program opens to home page but if you click a link nothing
happens.If you type the url it works fine but all links seem to be dead. It
worked fine until about a week ago.
I have given them Admin status to no avail.I have even tried the "run as"
option but nothing works. I can't seem to find any help with MS knowledge
base so I am at a loss.All the security settings are the same for all users
including program access defaults. Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated.

Do this in all of their user accounts.

Hyperlinks
Open "run" and type in regsvr32 urlmon.dll click ok
then open Internet Explorer and go to Tools>Internet Options>Programs and
click on 'Reset Web Settings...' Try the hyperlinks again.
 
that didn't work. any more suggestions?
