This is not enough information to get a specific answer. You haven't
told us things like:

1. How you connect to the Internet - method/ISP
2. Service Pack level
3. What antivirus you have installed - name, version, and if
subscription is active
4. What changed between the time things worked and the time they didn't
5. What you've already done to troubleshoot.

Here's a link to help you make a good newsgroup post:

And here's a link to help you make sure your computer is
virus/malware-free (one of the first steps in t-shooting connection
problems):

"Don't Panic"

Windows XP, AOL dial-up, AVG anti-virus (latest update).

I seem to recall that IE was fine with my DSL connection, then I started AOL
dial-up. I have run all the adware and spyware apps I have and followed all
the AOL support instructions. AOL support thinks I have a corrupted IE file.
I ran Scannow and no problems were indicated.

I'm sorry, but if you're using AOL all bets are off. Someone else will
have to help you since I don't support AOL at all. Try posting in a
newsgroup about IE. Here's one:

Even AOL doesn't support AOL.

AOL's commercials are borderline fraudulent advertising. All the
things they protect you from ... It could almost pass for a political
advert. They've now hit the 300,000 a month number for members
canceling (or trying to). You know it's gotten bad when you sign
up for RoadRunner and they "Give" you AOL. Even the coyote
wouldn't use something in a box marked AOL.

Then remove AOL and go back to your DSL.
