IE Not Full Screen

My IE is not filling my entire screen. If I use my
favorites window it does, but when I close it, the main
window does not maximize.

Open such a link.
Don't use the maximize button.
Stretch the edges/corners so that the window fills the screen.
Close all other IE windows.
Close the stretched window last.
