IE lots of problems, can't delete bookmarks, and spyware?

I try to delete bookmarks from the favorite section then
when i restart the computer they return. same with the
homepage, it changes everytime I restart my PC

I keep getting pop ups saying I have spyware on my PC.

But i do notice everytime I log onto my computer i have
two new icons on my destop that are not supposed to be
there.

the bookmark thing is what is really driving me nuts.

If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

You'll want to run Ad-aware or Spybot or both.
