Hi
Downloaded Kazaa took me ages to get rid of everything also
1. look for altnet folder and p2p folder that would have been installed
at download you would also have to look thru registry for others

Here is the best link that I could find for removing Kazaa. The Kazaa lite
work pretty well but they will keep prompting you to download the full
adware version. Jym http://www.spysweeper.com/how-to-uninstall-kazaa.html

You probably got some registry hobos left over from kazaa as well...

use this program... http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php it is called
spybot... will delete spyware that was also installed with kazaa... once you
try to remove any of the softwares that is related to kazaa or kazaa itself
manually thru add/remove program, your system tend to act very quirky if
everything related to it is not removed permanently... also ensure that
bonzi buddy or gator or any of it's type is also removed permanently.

Do a Google search for 'Kazaa Begone'. You will find a tool to
completely remove all traces of Kazaa.

I have used Kazaa Lite and have never been happier, never requested or
bugged to load any other version, never accumulated and MalWare.

Try it out - I use Kazaa Begone on customer's computers which have
been 'infected' with Kazaa.
