Hello,

In all my time using computers I haven't run across this one.

Can anyone tell me why I cannot set my home page to MSN.com.
I have used everything I can think of but everytime I restart IE 6 I get the
http://runonce.msn.com/en/runonce.asp put this in your browser and you will
see the page. I set it and it still goes back to this page after I restart
IE. I cannot stop this from happening? It seems it started after I tried to
install Messenger 6.2 and now, Well....

I really do not want to install the os again.
Thanks
Joe

Hi,
If Messenger installed properly, you should only see this message once. Have
you tried uninstalling/reinstalling Messenger?

If you have gven up on Messenger, go to
http://inetexplorer.mvps.org/general.htm (about halfway down the page.)
Information there should help you disable Messenger.

Or, run MSCONFIG> Startup tab and uncheck the entry (if there is one) that's
causing this.

Hope this helps,
Don

Well Don ,

Thanks But I have no other choice but to reinstall the OS. I think there is
more to it Like It is my first Dell Notebook and the only PC I never
personally built.

This is the exact reason why I do not like "after market" MS Software from
the PC manufacturer. So I have a retail copy and I am going to start there. I
see things like this alot with others who buy Dell and Compaq Etc...

Thanks again,
Joe
