First, the facts: IE 6.0 SP1, Win2K Pro. Dell Latitude
400mHz, 128 MB RAM (2nd SIMM Port just died - it was 256),
40 GB HD, 2 GB FAT, 35 GB NTFS, 3 GB NTFS.
My IE is suddenly just crawling. As I page down, I have
lost the smoothness of the scroll (yes, smooth scrolling
is enabled), web pages take longer to open, and navigate,
and IE eats about 20 MB for each occurrance..
I got Ad-Aware, and Spybot S&D, and they found several
things which I neutralized, but my performanceis still
lagging. It's not a network problem, because others PCs
on the N/W are fine..
Any ideas? It's almost like a memory leak... or
performance leak..
Thanks!
