IE Downloads vanishing

I am trying to download a file from a web site, there is no
"Right-Click-Save-As" ability, in fact no right-click response at all. If I
left click an icon it seems to download fine. It tells me it is downloading
someFileName.zip to a temporary folder. When it is done, which can take some
time as some files are large, it opens WinZip - but there is no file! The
WinZip list of files is empty. If I search for the file name it told me it
was downloading I cannot find it. I cannot find any .zip files at all.

Any help will be greatly appreciated, I am flummoxed...

And this is a network problem why? you should post in a XP or IE newsgroup.
