IE does not open links

I have brand new P4, 3GHz, computer with Windows XP and IE version
6.0.2800.xpsp2.030422-1633.
Can somebody tell me whty my IE deos not open many many links. When I use
Mozilla Fire Fox, it opens all of them.
What am I missing in my IE?
