When I came in this morning one of my computers (Win XP Pro on Linksys 8
port router) will not connect using Internet Explorer - It just hangs with
'detecting proxy settings'. Nothing has been changed or added on the
computer and network connection is established since Outlook Express is
connected.

At this point I have no idea where to start to correct. Anyone every have
this happen or know how to correct it.

Thanks

If you disable 'Automatically Detect Settings" in Internet Explorer does it
still hang? You can do this by going to Tools -> Internet Options ->
Connections -> LAN Settings". Once you do this just be sure and manually
specify a proxy server if you use one.

Thanks J.C., will give it a try. It is really strange. Only one computer,
nothing was added or changed from friday until monday. The other 4 ok with
no problems.
