IE can't logon to web sites

Lately, I've noticed that when I try to logon to web sites I do the
logon and it goes back to the logon page after I submit. The first
time, I thought it was aproblem with the web site but then I fired up
Netscape and logged on fine. Then I made a purchase at a site in
which I created an account and then when I tried to logon, it sent me
back to the 'create account' page. I booted up Netscape and got right
in.


First time, I recall having this problem with Explorer 6. Any ideas,
suggestions? Thanks.

I've seen a setting in IE that can cause this to happen on websites that you
log into, like banking sites, etc.... Try this:
In IE: tools, internet options, advanced tab, scroll down to the security
section, make sure there's a check in TLS1.0, SSL2.0, and SSL3.0. Then
reboot and try again. It worked on one site for me and not on another. I
just used FireFox browser on the site that didn't work in IE and it was
fine.

Tools>Internet Options>Security - look at the settings for your cookies.
Make sure the slider isn't set to High. Medium will work.

Thanks, looks like it was a cookie problem in that I had inadvertently
blocked a couple of cookies which won't let me on their web site
without a cookie.
