I am running windows XP SP2 with all updates. Have done virus scans and
adware scans - have none (now)

When opening some web sites I get an error message that IE could not open
the helper application re: following (not all of it):

dtdp://748|331|1|jgen44.cjtl.net/HTM/704/0/javaSiteRequest.asp?LV=6000&DC=453&NF=0&1W
....

and a lot more with an indication that it is the wrong address, to correct
it and try again.

If I close IE, restart it and go to the site again there is no such message
and all is well.

What is is and how do I get rid of it.

Albert

The same thing started happening to me today, immediately after I
installed the newly available XP hotfixes. Eight of them were
installed, so it looks like I'll be uninstalling them one by one.
You'd think MS could test these things before they roll them out...

I am having the same problem (March 8th). I've done an exhaustive
search of many forums, Google, etc. and have not found a solution to
this. Has anyone come up with what's going on? Thanks

I am also having the same problem - very frustrating! I've done an
exhaustive search through many forums, Googled it, etc. to no avail.
Does anyone have an answer/solution to this? Thanks.
