IE Back Button not working

Hi, when I have viewed a URL from a list after making a
search, the back button does not operate to take me back
to my search resuls. It is dead!

Your help to find a solution will be most appreciated.
 
sometimes the site puts its url in top position on back
button list. try right-click on small triangle next to
back button and use second from top url.
