Hello, we are running the Chime Pro 2.6 addin (2004), which uses ActiveX to
display molecules. There are security patches of Microsoft (like the KB925454
cumulative patch with ActiveX updates) which causes a big delay in rendering
web pages with multiple molecules. Is there a best practice to troubleshoot
the issue down to the real conflict of the installaton? Thank you in advance
- Donald.

Hi donald,

Heres a realy good article that explains how to code around activeX
activation

http://www.capitalhead.com/articles/activating-activex-controls.aspx

This applies to developers, so you may have to pass this link to the Chime
Pro publishers for them to make changes to thier Addon.

Oh, I see from their homepage that they also use a JavaBean, there is a
security setting (Internet Options>Security Tab - Internet Zone). You may
fix the problem by adding the url of the Chemscape server to your trusted
zone.

Regards.
