When I open a new tab on IE7, I'd like Google to be my default page and

IE7 questions should be posted to the Internet Explorer General newsgroup as

If Google is your home page, then yes. In IE7 select Tools->Internet
Options and go to the General tab. Click the Settings button in the Tabs
section. Check the line that reads "Open home page for new tabs instead of
a blank page".
