IE 6 won't maximize?

When I click on IE 6 short cut on win2k
desktop, the item goes to the tool bar, but will not
display the browser nor will it maximize. I think this
one will stump even the best minds.

Run regedit and remove these registry values:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\window_placement

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Desktop\OldWorkAreas\OldWorkAreaRects

Then reboot.
