Hi, since yesterday IE 6 won't automatically dialup my broadband account.
I've tried both connection settings under internet options (dial
whenever/always dial) with no result. Opening outlook express or other
programs still autodials, just not explorer, anyone know what's going on ?

Thanx

Sean

Broadband does not use Dial up. Only 56K modems use dial up.
The idea of broadband is 'always on', so as soon as your modem (is a
Cable or ADSL? USB or Ethernet), you are already on the internet!!

ummm yes i realise that, although its still considered "dialup" because it
isn't always on, anyway my point is that when i normally open explorer and
broadband isn't already connected (say i've just turned my computer on) it
would automatically connect, now it doesn't. Its bizzare and doesn't make
sense, seeing as outlook still does.

similar thing happened to me the other day too
All of a sudden IE stopped auto dialing
I have 56k so it was a true dialup. I tried alot of things. I ran a full virus scan (no infections) and I ran ad-aware and dumped all my spyware. (only 1 item was not a cookie btw) and today it started working again.
Try that and see if it is some spyware messing with it. wish I could give you a more precise answer.
Good Luck

Turns out it was actually my google toolbar, had something to do with some
valentines skin it applied to the search box and how it screwed something in
the registry.
