IE 6 opens wrong pages

After I've been using IE off and on for several hours, it starts
loading the wrong page when I click on a link or enter a URL.
Often, but not always, a blank page from "imgfarm.com"
loads. Sometimes a page I've visited previously comes up
instead of the one I'm trying to get to. (For example, I type
the URL for Yahoo Mail, but an error page from the New
York Times opens!)

Rebooting solves the problem, but is inconvenient, of course.

Any suggestions?

imgfarm.com = iWon (known spyware)

The first thing to do is to scan your system for the possibility of
unknown\unwanted spyware or parasites that may be causing your problem(s).
