IE 6 opens by itself

Hello,
I'm not very good with computer terminology. Here's my
problem: window explorer will open by itself. This is
what the tab says at the bottom of the screen (---
Microsoft internet explorer) When I try to view this
page it makes a clicking noise like it's trying to open
but it doesn't open all I see is my desktop. In order
to close the box I have to right click the tab at the
bottom of the screen and click on close. I thought I
had a virus but I use several different virus scans and
nothing is showing that I have a virus. Also when this
window opens it seem to start opening other sites. Any
help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have antivirus software running on your computer?
Sounds like you have a bug there.

Yes, I'm using 2 different softwares: Norton & AVG 6.0

Anti-Virus System. My system is checked daily and comes
up clean.
