IE 6 Movie Freeze-Up

Clicking on the link to play the 30 second movie/ad at
http://www.moveonpac.org/10weeks/ (either high or low
bandwidth) brings up a small black pane that freezes. I
have only noticed this problem since installing the
9/20/04 IE security update, but I can't be sure that the
problem started then. Using Netscape 7.1, the same black
pane comes up (with a "Netscape" logo at the upper left
instead of an "IE"-type logo), and, after a brief pause,
a "Click here to play movie" sign comes up, and clicking
plays the movie. Any idea what is wrong with IE
(6.0.2800.1106 -- up to date with all service packs,
etc.)? Anything I can do to correct the problem?

It's a popup window. Are you suppressing popups?

FWIW Ctrl-N will clone the popup with an Address bar.
Try the link which shows with it instead:

http://www.moveonpac.org/10weeks/video/sayles_6/big/index.shtml

Also the source shows that they expect at least version 6.0
of Macromedia Flash so perhaps you should try updating
your Flash support. You could try using XPsp2's new
Manage Add-ons (Alt-T,M) to find out first of all if it was enabled,
then what version it was and finally try the Update ActiveX button
for it.

Good luck
