IE 6 Hangs Up - Forced Boot to Exit

Twice now while looking at items in ebay, IE has hung up. An hour
glass appears indicating that something is going on, but the screen
does not change. If I hit crtl-alt-del, it says that the program is
not responding, but trying to end IE does nothing. I have to force a
reboot (manually shutdown power) to get out of IE. Both times the
problem occurred after selecting several dozen items to view in ebay.
The ebay page opens and everthing but the photos are present. That is
when the hourglass indicates that something is trying to happen but
doesn't. I have the lastest versions of XP and IE, am running a brand
new Compaq with AVG Pro antivirus sw, and Zone Alarm Pro firewall sw.
I have not experienced any problems with other software locking up the
computer. I thought about reinstalling IE, but thought I would check
the newsgroup first. Any ideas?

Thanks

My problem, is sort of similair. When on neopets, a
virtual pet site online, when you refresh the same page,
like 5-8 times, it freezes. I have to do crt+alt+dlt to
end it. I dont have to reboot my computer though. I
have a brand new Dell Inspiron 8600. I have the newest
versions of xp/ie.
