IE 6 -- Can it be re-installed from the hard drive?

I have IE 6...it keeps shutting down and jamming...I have
a new Hewlett Packard, which means everything is pre
installed...if I remove IE 6...can I reinstall it myself
of the hard drive???? and how?

I sent this URL to a few other Windows XP users that needed to reinstall
Internet Explorer 6, but they never did tell me if these instructions worked
for them.
