IE 6 Browser

I have a big problem. My IE is very slow, I can't close
my browser without resorting to the help of the task
manager, I can't even close pop ups. I have a Compaq
Presario 6000, it is a 2.4 G.H I believe. I beleive it
got that way after I downloaded windows updates from
microsoft.
I am at my wits end. If anybody can help me, please
contact me.

Some of the popups may have installed something without your consent.
Run SpyBot Search & Destroy and Ad-aware with instructions at this link:
