IE 6 browers closes without error message, can't do anything with Explorer

Please help, I can connect to the net, surf with netscape,
even use my outlook express, but every time I try to use IE
6 it closes by itself with no apparent reason - no error
message, just closes down. If anyone can please do.

First eliminate any scumware.
