IE 6 and windows xp home edition

browser locks up at irregular intervals, always locks up
when sending an email after I select contacts to be
inserted. I have attempted sfc /scannow but the system
file checker does not open? any ideas?

Be sure you type that correctly; "sfc /scannow" with

that space after sfc. Also you can either enter that in
the start/run box, or in a command prompt window too.
