IE 6.0 won't access pages, continually gives errors, locks up

My IE 6.0 takes several reloads to access pages and locks
up often, then I lose all my icons in the system tray. I
have IE security settings at the minumum and disabled the
firewall. I'm pretty sure it's not my ISP or TCP/IP
settings. I think it has something to do with IE's
security settings possibly being corrupted. Is there a
file to delete or a registry setting to adjust to reset
IE's security settings?

What firewall software are you using? A lot of times
even though you have disabled the firewall it still runs
in the back ground. You would need to disable it and
prevent it from starting up by finding it in the options
menu>load at startup or something to that effect.
Disable it at startup and then reboot your machine.

Try that. Hope that helps. You may have to reinstall
your firewall software.
